Christine Connerly has a Masters in English Literature from the University of Washington and recently retired from a career in university academic assistance. She has been making art of various kinds for decades, but in the past ten years she has been exploring photography as a means of better understanding the natural world. Christine lives in a forest in Northern California surrounded by wildlife. Taking photos of birds has given her a glimpse into how they go about the task of living fragile lives in a dangerous world. Christine’s photos have been used as album cover art, have sold internationally, and have been shown at the Museum of Northern California Art, the Chico Art Center, California State University, Chico, Art at the Matador, and Chico’s Open Studios Art Tour. Her work can be found on Instagram at @christineoftheforest.
